CoVaccine HT™ is a proprietary adjuvant which can be used in both prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines where an enhanced B-cell (antibody) response is required. Results to date have shown excellent activity in stimulating the humoral response to antigens. For example, compared to the adjuvant aluminium hydroxide (alum), it has provided a 10-fold increased B-cell response to our Angiotensin Therapeutic Vaccine (ATV) in non-clinical studies. BTG has initiated a Phase I study of CoVaccine HT™, aimed at determining a suitable dose to take forward into the ATV Phase II study.
CoVaccine HT™ contains a mixture of squalane, Polysorbate 80, sucrose fatty acid sulphate ester (SFASE) in water-for-injections. A stable aqueous emulsion is formed on mixing with phosphate buffered saline and this is mixed with the antigen to generate the final vaccine.
We are actively seeking partners who are interested in licensing CoVaccine HT™ for inclusion in their vaccines. Please contact our Business Development Team for more information.
